Thomas Jaco

Thomas was diagnosed in July 2018 with bilateral retinoblastoma, a rare eye cancer.  He underwent chemotherapy at Duke University Hospital and Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York City.  His right eye had to be removed in September 2018 due to the cancer.  Thomas just celebrated his 2 year anniversary since his last chemo!  Although residual tumors still remain in his left eye, he is considered NED (no evidence of disease)!

Make A Wish has become an organization close to The Jaco's hearts.  The mission of Make A Wish is to grant wishes to kids with critical illnesses.   In October 2019, Thomas’ wish was granted to go to Disney World.  In May Mrs. Jaco will once again be participating  in the Trailblaze Challenge.  It’s a 28.3 mile hike that is done in one day.  Fundraising from this event benefits the Make A Wish foundation.  If you would like to learn more about the Trailblaze Challenge or make a donation to this great cause, please click the link below.
