On December 13th, 2018, at 7 months of age, Casen was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma. He had a 7 hour surgery to remove the tumor, followed by 2 rounds of chemotherapy. Casen was diagnosed and treated at Prisma Health Children’s hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. He was declared no evidence of disease (NED) on February 12th, 2019. Casen’s favorite things are dinosaurs, penguins, playing outside, and following his big brother around! He recently became a big brother and has taken the role very seriously, giving his little sister his toys to make her smile! He is a hero ambassador for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
