Austin Guy

Austin was diagnosed in October 2014 with Ependymoma -Stage ll, a form of brain cancer in his cerebellum, at the age of 10.  He had surgery to remove the tumor along with chemotherapy and radiation.  He went 5 years cancer free until January 2020 when, at the age of 15,  Austin was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma in his cerebellum and on the brain stem.  Austin once again underwent surgery to remove as much of the tumor as they could.  He also went through chemotherapy and radiation again.  In the course of the year Austin's tumor in his brain stem was gone and the one in the cerebellum had shrunk so much that it was almost gone.  However, on February 8, 2021, doctors discovered two new tumor growths.  Austin began the Indoximod Clinical Trial at the Children's Hospital of Georgia on February 24th, 2021.  Please pray for Austin, his family, and the medical staff treating him.  If you would like to follow Austin's journey, please check the link below.
